ZaSve is currently a University of Malaya pre-start up business entity under UM Innovations Sdn. Bhd. The office is located at Level 5, University of Malaya Commercialization and Innovation Centre since September 2015. ZaSve’s main focus is on Universal Design Products and Services.
The current activity is to develop the Universal Design product, namely the 0-1-2-3 Independent Living concept for Elderly Housing led by founder Dr. Naziaty Mohd Yaacob. Two other areas being researched with targeted similar but variants of the product are Sports and Recreational hubs and facilities (collaboration with Disability Sports Research Centre led by co-founder Dr. Selina Khoo) and Accessible Tourism.
Based on recent events ZaSve are establishing the Universal Design Lab which is bringing together the users (grassroots), businesses (developers and architects) and government (agencies and bodies) into a circle of discussion if possible twice a month.
ZaSve is starting with focused discussions with the architects and designers to determine what is necessary to further develop. ZaSve will also do design crits, brainstorming sessions and presentation by different architects and designers wanting to share or find out more about what they can do with their projects.
