The Malaysian Halal Expo 2019 #MHE2019 is happening this 24th to 26th January 2019 with a focus to bolster Malaysian SME exports to Japan for Tokyo Olympics 2020! This is in line with efforts from both countries to encourage investment and trade between each other as per their Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) signed on 26th November 2018.
What will you find during the Malaysian Halal Expo 2019? The event itself is divided into four components; exhibitions, knowledge sharing sessions, Islamic Innovation Challenge Award and business matching. Among the exhibition space, you will find 320 exhibition booths featuring export-ready products and services from industries such as F&B, biotechnology, cosmetics and logistics.
In addition to that, their knowledge sharing sessions features 5 Pocket Talk sessions, 3 forums and 2 celebrity appearances which involves numerous government agencies such as the SME Bank, JAKIM, Matrade and others. There is something for everyone of every walk of life in the Malaysian Halal Expo 2019!
As a platform, their exhibitions and knowledge sessions will provide a platform for participating local SMEs to educate themselves and prepare for their products to fulfill the required standards and obtain information on the latest market demands in Japan as well as beyond. For the casual visitor, they will also benefit from increased understanding and knowledge on the halal industry as well as the subtle differences between the terminologies in the halal, syariah-compliant industry.
Also taking part during #MHE2019 is the Islamic Innovation Challenge Award, an annually organized programme by SME Corp, Malaysian Innovation Agency, JAKIM and the Halal Industry Development Corporation. The Challenge aims to give recognition to give recognition to local SMEs that have produced outstanding and innovative products in the halal industry. Aiming to shine the spotlight on products that can be the industry leaders in the Malaysian halal industry, this award will showcase the crème de la crème of our local halal SMEs!
